Mission
Our mission is to meet charitable community needs through leadership, grants and donor services.
The Foundation achieves its mission by:
-
Building permanent endowments which benefit local communities;
Inspiring and enabling donors to fulfill their charitable desires;
Facilitating prudent management and care of funds;
Increasing the capacity of nonprofit organizations to fulfill their individual missions;
Advocating for issues which promote community philanthropy;
Faciliating grants, awards, and scholarships.
Logo
Why a rope? Our logo design incorporates our belief that as a community we are stronger than we are as individuals.
"The idea of a rope -- individual fibers braided together to make a stronger whole -- inspired this design. The same principle applies in a community: many individuals and groups working together to do what cannot be done alone. The Community Foundation provides a "rope" for this area, enabling projects and furthering creative ideas that might unravel without community help and support."

Sustainers
Like our Founders, the support of our Sustainers is an important part of the Foundation's ability to continue serving the community. While the Founders provided our "Foundation," to get us started, the Sustainer gifts will advance our mission today, while also enhancing our ability to do so in the future. Currently, any Sustainer gift will also receive a $2,500 match from the Kansas Health Foundation towards our Smoky Hills Healthy Living Fund and our Smoky Hills Administrative Fund. If you are interested in becoming a Sustainer, please contact us at 786-527-5631, or fill out a Sustainer pledge card.
Thank you to the following Sustainers for their special support!
